Hear from recent iJOBS PhD alum who work at the bench in pharma and biotech to learn how they got their first job and what are the differences between academia and industry bench research. There will be PhD level people who are involved in research at the following companies: Merck, Novartis, Amgen, and Legend Biotech among others.

  • The purpose of graphical (aka visual) abstracts and where they are used
  • Key elements and level of detail that should be included
  • How to create optimal information flow
  • Basic elements of effective design (alignment, spacing, hierarchy and color use)
  • How to distinguish effective versus ineffective graphical abstracts in published literature
  • Programs and resources you can use to create your next one!

Innovation-minded teams & individuals are welcome to attend including faculty, graduate students, post-docs, research staff, and undergrad students.
