Patricia ZalameaPatricia Zalamea (Art History) will be teaching the course Metamorphosis, Love, and Identity: Classical Myth and Courtly Rituals in French Visual Culture. Ms. Zalamea is working under the direction of Catherine Puglisi on Subject to Diana: Myth, Identity and Artistic Origins in Sixteenth-Century French Court Imagery, an original contribution to studies of French Renaissance art and culture. She is one of the most promising and honored young scholars in the program and also one of its most experienced teachers, both here and in Urbino. Her course would provide an opportunity for students to learn about French Renaissance art, otherwise unavailable here, as well as to learn about the role of myth in a more focused way. |
