Mark Gregory Robson

Mark Robson completed his Ph.D. in 1988 under the direction of Paul Eck. He has subsequently gone on to do pretty much everything.

Mark started at Rutgers in 4H, was an undergraduate here and did all his degrees here, including an M.P.H. Since then he has been active in many ways in the field of environmental health and holds faculty positions at Rutgers, at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's School of Public Health, and at two universities in Thailand. His expertise is in agricultural chemical exposure, and he has recently completed the largest mother-baby paired study of gestational exposure to pesticides, phenols and other endocrine disruptors.

Mark is a famously outstanding teacher, for which he has been widely recognized, and has held numerous leadership and administrative positions both within Rutgers and UMDNJ and in other professional bodies. He is currently Dean of Agricultural Programs at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. In his spare time he is a member of several local bodies, including the volunteer fire department.

There is a rumor of dubious origin going around that Mark has also been known to sleep, but we cannot confirm it.
