2005 Science and Communication Awards
a.k.a. “Poster Awards”

 

Criteria:

  • The poster should illustrate research undertaken as an undergraduate or graduate student at Cook College.
  • The poster MUST contain an abstract that explains the significance of the research in LAYMAN'S language.
  • The poster display should fit within a 2 inch high by 3 inch wide display area.

Entry Procedure:

  • Anyone wishing to submit a poster must submit an entry form no later than Friday, April 1, 2005.
  • Posters will be displayed in the ground floor hallways of the Cook Campus Center. Each contestant is responsible for hanging and removing their own poster. Posters may be hung anytime on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 and must be removed by 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2005. Tables and poster boards will be set up in the lobby of the Cook Campus Center; please inquire in the Center administration office if additional tables or boards need to be set up. We are not responsible for the loss of posters that are not removed by the requested time.

Award Information:

  • There are two categories: undergraduate and graduate. There will be up to three prizes in each category.
  • Each winner will be awarded $100.

Poster Presentation:

  • The poster competition is open for public review from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2005. The presentations will not be used as a basis for judging the posters.
