Benjamin D. Neimark

Geographical Issues in Science, Technology and the Commercialization of Biodiversity

Mr. Neimark will introduce students to the complex legal, ethical, and technological issues surrounding the commercialization of nature. His research has been on the process by which corporations, botanical gardens, and universities have approached the exploitation of biodiversity in Madagascar and the effects of these efforts on the local population.
