Jennifer Momsen

Jennifer Momsen is an experienced teaching assistant for two key introductory courses, General Biology and Principles of Ecology (for which she is now head TA). In each of these courses she has consistently earned stellar evaluations. “Jenni is really a wonderful role model, teacher, co-worker and friend,” states a former student who went on to graduate study, inspired by Ms. Momsen’s example. This former student praises Ms. Momsen “for keeping a friendly and open mind amidst all the pressure and work...she is always looking out for what’s best for the students.”

Jenni has for some years played a fundamental role in the coordination of the Graduate School’s Teaching Assistant Program, including instructing graduate student peers as course coordinator for the Graduate School’s twelve-week seminar Introduction to College Teaching. But Jenni Momsen’s passion for teaching has taken her beyond the undergraduate classroom, indeed sometimes far beyond, as she has travelled to Moldova State University to offer teacher training to college faculty and graduate students.
