Carolyn Ambrose and Diane Murano

We all know that AAs run most graduate programs, but we don’t always hear that the faculty leadership all threaten to quit if the AAs leave—but that’s the case with Carolyn Ambrose and Diane Murano. The students, in turn, praise them, have presented an award to Diane and Carolyn and, in at least one case, tell us they chose Rutgers because the two of them were so nice and helpful over the phone. Their work ethic is legendary, including evening and weekends, and their competence at running three degree programs and the joint admissions and recruitment process for all the Molecular Biosciences of both universities is extraordinary.
